Mar ‘21 - Jun ‘21 _ Echoes of Mary
‘Echoes of Mary’ is a collection of fabric print designs inspired by the 1986 song ‘Sad Waters’, by Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds.
With every design linked to a phrase from the lyrics, the collection visualises the song’s story and overall feeling.
The designs are ultimately meant to be worn on the human body.
The designs are based on Liv’s own drawings and digitally created compositions consisting of superimposed paintings of the Virgin Mary.
Print techniques used; hand-painting, silkscreening, and acetone transferring.
