With ‘Point of View’, Liv kiggen presents a series of hand-crafted leather wearables that are not only meant to be worn and watched, but also watch back. Each piece is shaped to give its wearer an empowering feeling, as the series references weapon holsters in its form language. With the eye of the wearer hand-painted on each of the accessories, the project reflects the gaze of others as they are confronted with their act of watching. For the wearer, the object functions as a protector against looks and gazes, and as a reminder to look more openly, without judgment. 'Point of View' is a plea to look with loving eyes instead of judging ones, towards each other and ourselves.
