Mar - Apr ‘20 _ Blood. Sweat. Tears.
Inspired by rituals around emotions, such as Victorian mourning customs, Liv aimed to create a way to communicate our emotions in a non-verbal manner. Making it easier to express yourself, without having to put it in words.
These garments are a drastic visual and physical representation of emotion. The extremity contrasts our habits of toning down our emotions every day, to avoid bothering others, or because we’re afraid of being judged, or embarrassing ourselves.
They allow you to physically and mentally emerge in your emotional state, but they are also a sign to the outside world to show how you are feeling without having to even speak.
*part 2 of this project: ‘I.C.U.’*
I. BLOOD _ anger

II. SWEAT _ fear

III. TEARS _ sadness
